My Best Balatro Hand (So Far)
Просмотров 1973 месяца назад
An absurd amount of 2X multipliers due to copy ability jokers glass cards... and earlier in the run I was able to bump my flush level waaaay up due to burnt joker blueprint. Seed was PNRIUVUQ on the checkered deck, white stakes, if you wanna have a go at it.
Playing Trombone Champ With a Trombone
Просмотров 1637 месяцев назад
As a lover of both rhythm games and trombone, of course I got Trombone Champ. Naturally, I wondered: can I control it on an actual trombone? Here's my post describing how it was done: blog.danlew.net/playing-trombone-champ-with-a-trombone
The Talos Principle - Road to Gehenna - Ray Mania (Simple Solution)

I came up with a super simple solution to Ray Mania that I haven't seen elsewhere so I'm sharing it here. It does not require juggling connectors at all; each one only needs to be placed once.

Sousa purring

He purrs SO LOUDLY, this video cannot quite depict the decibels due to a failure of recording technology to progress to the point where we can fully capture his purrs.

Video of the person who stole the front tire of my bicycle dancing while doing the deed. Best dancing is near the end.
The moment the feeder turns on

I've got an automatic feeder for the cats. It's two floors down, in the basement, yet Newton and Sousa seem to have supernatural ears attuned to it.
Reactive Extensions: Beyond the Basics
Просмотров 18 тыс.9 лет назад
A (possibly) helpful talk after you've learned the basic reactive extensions pattern. Given at MinneBar 2015. It has a basis in RxJava, but many of the concepts apply generally to any reactive extension framework. As is often the case, I may be wrong about some things I said! Let me know, I'll update in the description. Slides here: speakerdeck.com/dlew/reactive-extensions-beyond-the-basics
Introduction to Groovy and Gradle
Просмотров 34 тыс.9 лет назад
An introduction to Groovy, Gradle and the Android plugin. This talk was given at a local GDG MN meetup. I recorded a screencast. As stated near the beginning, I'm still new to this topic, so I'm sure I got some of it wrong. Let me know! I'll update the comments here to reflect more accurate information. Known incorrect statements: - Groovy can be compiled statically (if you want). - Gradle is a...
Sousa has a drinking problem

He always does this when he drinks, who knows why? Sometimes he spills the bowl doing it...
Amazing game
Muchas gracias senor
It's just a masterpiece.
I just found your blog page by googling to see if anyone has done this. I too play the trombone non-professional, and have picked up trombone champ, though I haven't started it up yet, and I just had the thought of wouldn't it be cool if somehow I could hold the controller while playing my actual trombone. So I'm glad to see that you messed around with trying to make the game playable with an actual trombone. It would be awesome if the devs made some way you could actually do this like if you got a little boom mic that you could put into the headphone jack that could detect the trombone IRL and there was just a mode you activated! Thanks for the effort and video ☺️
Would it be better to duplicate sock and bustin (if that's the name of the joker)
Excellent ! 👍👍👍
cool
Any sufficiently abstruse technology is indistinguishable from magic. Thank you Dan for making gradle less magical!
the video is amazing. you explained the groovy and gradle stuff very well, thank you
Awesome even after 6 years should make more on it.
Really appreciate your way of explaining Groovy. Encouraging.
This saved my day today. Well done.
The only video that made sense at all. Thanks a ton
nah it just spammed it with requests
Better than the actual gradle course
This is really helpful even though I have no intention of using Groovy. Just enough to understand the differences so I can use Kotlin DSL for Gradle instead. Why? Because Groovy is too groovy for me. I want something less-Groovy and less-groovy.
This was great ! The best part about your teaching is that you not only teach the technology to the people but more importantly you introduce them to the documentation and tell how to effectively access it. And this is the thing that most tutors miss on. Thanks
U r Eye opener about gradle🤗
It really should read, "ALLOW TABS TO ACCESS HEADPHONE ADAPTER!"
thanks for the tutorial and sharing this..
Subscribed before i actually watched the video. 361 thumbs up and zero thumbs down, that should be an amazing video 👍👍
Could you explain the task syntax? Is it a method that adds a method?
Thank you so much! Finally I could read a build.gradle file lol
Thanks, very useful!
Exactly what I was looking for and couldn't wrap my head around despite looking at 2 other tutorials and documentation. Thanks a lot! Saved me a lot of time!
Realy good presentation with more than basics examples :)
thanks
That's so cute! I want a cat so bad!😭😭😭
Dan has mentioned that he regrets lifecycle observables (blog.danlew.net/2017/08/02/why-not-rxlifecycle/). I believe he's also even more opposed to custom operators now than he was in this talk.
Thanks a lot, that was one of the few video on RUclips that's actually explaining Gradle.
super awesome.. than you so much for the groovy basics
super video, recommended for those who don't have groovy background Thanks Daniel Lew
Just watched Silicon Valley.. This guy sounds like Bighead :D
Android gradle dsl is available online at: google.github.io/android-gradle-dsl/current/index.html
nice, please share the code, how you build it
So awesome tutorial.
You can use CompositeSubscription::clear() to remove all contained subscriptions and unsubscribe from them. This will allow you to add new subscriptions later, so it's not necessary to reinstantiate.
any hint for create something like that..? sir ?
Pratama Nur Wijaya Lots of basic animations, especially X and Y translations, along with invisible placeholders.
I strongly hate Gradle...
+Hironori Narushima Gradle hates you back and will break your builds :P
> avoid subjects > don't mention the war Genius
My cats have supernatural hearing, but only for hearing the feeder go off.
***** What automatic cat feeder do you use? It looks like the well reviewed units are expensive and the cheaper models don't generally have good reviews. But I need one (well, two)....
I use this: www.super-feeder.com/ It's expensive, and we had to modify it further to 100% cat-proof it. Food is a highly motivating factor in one of my cat's lives.
Thanks!
Because feeding them manually is too mainstream :-P
I'd rather buy an automated poop/pee cleaner eheh
this is super awesome and I do learn a lot from it even though I am purely using RxJS : )
A wild recording of my talk about reactive extensions appears.
Do you use RX in production code as well? We have been thinking whether or not we should use it. There are several places where we could benefit from it. However Rx without Lambda is really mouthful.
We use Rx in production code with retrolambda. It's great and although one slightly annoying issue persists [1], it can be simply avoided when needed. The power of Rx is well worth it. [1] github.com/orfjackal/retrolambda/issues/37
Rob G Yes! I'm always surprised by this question. Why would I bother to learn so much about RX if I wasn't using it?
Is there any way to get the current running task from a dsl container? sourceSets.all{ sourceSet -> String currentTaskName = ???? if(currentTaskName.contains("MyFlavorName")){ // do stuff } } thanks
This gets more fun when you start using Groovy to really code in Android: github.com/groovy/groovy-android-gradle-plugin And a little spam here: github.com/Arasthel/SwissKnife
Super awesome ***** - thanks for sharing.
Did u found out why? Lovely cat btw. C u Bozi
Nice, zoom out on list drag will be very useful.
I'm proud of the animations we've added to the Trello app recently.
Can you share how you did it? ;-) Ps: Hey that's day of Tentacle at the end! Amazing game!
